This week, we're keeping it short, sweet and focused on Erica verticillata, the lovely Erica that was brought back from extinction in nature through the efforts of SANBI (Kirstenbosch).
We've been growing E. verticillata 'African Fanfare' for some time and are thrilled with its new cultivar name.
New to us, and starting to come through the production process with great success is E. verticillata 'African Phoenix'. Apart from the lovely name which reflects this plant's interesting history, we find this form a trifle more compact, and the blooms also differ considerably.
A picture is worth a thousand words: take a look for yourself.
